Posted on August 18, 2016 | Uncategorized

TandemLife announced today, August 18th, that the Pittsburgh Technology Council has named it a Tech 50 Awards Finalist for the Innovator of the Year: Life Sciences category.

“We are honored to have earned a place among some of the best life sciences companies in our region as one of the Tech50 finalists,” said John Marous, TandemLife CEO & Chairman of the Board. “In 2012, our team committed to deliver on an extremely aggressive program; developing and launching six medical devices in four years. In our 20th year we’ve realized that goal by commercializing our TandemLung oxygenator and rebranding ourselves to TandemLife Company, being named a Tech50 finalist is a true testament to our team’s dedication to advancing care for critically ill heart and respiratory failure patients.”

Since releasing their latest innovation, TandemLung, in March of this year, TandemLife has rebranded with a focus on providing medical devices that deliver on the mission of “Life Support Simplified”. TandemLife’s classic TandemHeart platform has helped thousands of heart failure patients worldwide. With the addition of their newest product lines, ProtekDuo, TandemLung, and TandemLife, the TandemLife platform is now the most comprehensive cardiopulmonary bypass system on the market.  TandemLife has several more innovations due for commercial release in 2016.
